Schubert and his Octet
November 6 (Tuesday) 7:30pm
Lorne Watson Recital Hall

Starring Franz Schubert and his Octet, D. 803 (Clarinet, bassoon, horn, 2 violins, viola, 'cello & double bass). This is the sequel to Beethoven's Septet, the blockbuster that kicked off last year's season for the BCP.  The Octet was commissioned by clarinetist Ferdinand Troyer who requested a work similar to Beethoven's Septet.  This concert will also feature Schubert's song (Lied) Der Wanderer as it was the inspiration for the opening movement of the Octet.  A must-see performance!
